I want to play around with a bacon bourbon (or maybe rye) and this helps tremendously! Hmmm . . . rum and spam . . . just may be . . . ;-) Cheers! Marshall Thanks Blair!

I wanted a bit of that smokiness, char, and cooked fat flavor. Raw Bacon I suppose would work just fine. I think the Bacon Salt might make the Vodka too much for anything other than a Bloody Mary, but perhaps a Dirty, Porky Martini wouldn't be too bad at all either. Craig, New Seasons! There's always something unique and interesting there, like when they had DragonFruit, or Passion Fruit, I even recently found some Pomellos (and plenty of them) to play around with. Marshall,

Craig,

New Seasons! There’s always something unique and interesting there, like when they had DragonFruit, or Passion Fruit, I even recently found some Pomellos (and plenty of them) to play around with.

I just put up my Curacao that I used regular dried orange rind. I'd love to make another batch using the more accurate orange! Where did you find the seville oranges? If you used the bacon salt, would the ensuing infusion be too salty for a cocktail if you wanted to use it for something other than a Bloody Mary? Great Blog! Love me some Tiki!!!
